John Force

John Force was born on May 4th, 1949 in Bell Gardens, California. In 2010, he will celebrate 25 years with the same sponsor and 34years in the NHRA.  In 2009, he finished outside the top 5, but still won his 16th overall championship as a car owner, which is the most winning car owner in NHRA history. 2008 was not a good year for him as he finished outside the top 5 for the first time since very early on in his racing career. John became very involved in working on the development of safety precautions which have been implemented. 2007 was a tragic season with the death of Eric Medlen and John’s own crash in Texas which resulted in a broken ankle, dislocated wrist and badly damaged fingers and toes. In 2006, John won his 14th NHRA World Funny Car Championship and the demand for diecast replicas of John’s Funny cars remains strong from season to season. After winning his 4th NHRA title in 1994, Force earned the nickname “Brute Force” and his die cast sales went through the roof. John has 126 career victories and is a 14 time Funny Car Champion, placing him on the top of the charts in popularity with the fans. He has outsold everyone in his racing venue and is truly a hero in the sport and has some of the most valuable NHRA Diecast pieces ever made.
