Vote on NASCAR Hall of Fame

On July 15th NASCAR announced the list of the 25 nominees for the second induction of the Hall of Fame! There will be 5 people chosen from this list, and it is on you to help decide who will go. This second round of nominees consist of many sports legendary names which were selected by a 21-person committee. So they choose the 25 nominees the the 54 members choose 5 from the list that were nominated! The HOF’s inductees which will vote for the 5 candidates consist of drivers, owners, crew chiefs, media members, retired competitors, and other recognized industry leaders. The Nationwide vote will count as the number 54th  vote on the panel! You may vote on NASCAR.COM at this time for who you think should make the amazing Hall of Fame of NASCAR! Next year’s 2011 Hall of Fame will be announced this October and will be announced next year in Charlotte N.C. There are 4 new members that will be joining the Panel this year! They are Richard Petty, Jim Campbell of Chevrolet, Chris Economaki(legendary media member), and Kyle Petty!For Last Years Fame the five that were selected were Dale Earnhardt, Bill France Sr., Bill France Jr., Junior Johnson, and Richard Petty. These were all announced this year in Charlotte N.C. on May 23rd. You are able to visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame, and even get a pass if you are interested in going more than once for the year. *Jerry Cook is NASCAR Modified champion six different times
*Richie Evans NASCAR Modified champion nine different times
*Tim Flock is a cups series champion two different times
*Rick Hendrick is a 12-time car owner champion in NASCAR’s three national series
*Jack Ingram is a two-time Busch Series champion
*Dale Inman is a eight-time Cup Series championship crew chief
*Ned Jarrett is a two-time Cup Series champion
*Fred Lorenzen, 26 wins and winner of the Daytona 500 and World 600
*Bud Moore, 63 wins and two Cup Series titles as a car owner
*Raymond Parks, NASCAR’s first champion car owner
*Benny Parsons won cup series champion in 1973
*David Pearson had 105 victories and three Cup Series championships
