Dale Earnhardt Jr Diecast Wrangler #3 1/24 2010 Nationwide

He Did it!!!!! Last weekend while competing in the Nationwide Series, he won the Subway Jalapeno 250 event in Daytona! As he came to the last half of the race Earnhardt Jr dominated the track, you could tell this win was very important to him! Earnhardt Jr. jumps back to the Sprint Cup this weekend where he will race in the Lifelock 400 event at Chicago Speedway!! He has a packed schedule this year, competing in over 40 events this year for both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series! This will be his 22nd start for the Sprint Cup Series at the upcoming race in Chicagoland! He has had a great season this year, and has high hopes to finish it off with a bang in Miami at Homestead Raceway during the Ford 400! Earnhardt Jr. continues to hold the record with Bill Elliot for having the Most popular driver award seven different times since 1956! This year will mark the 11th season that he has competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series! He has had 39 total victories from 1998-2007 while competing in the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series! He is the 3rd generation of NASCAR Champions and definitely follows the legend of his father, which was a seven-time Cup Champion and the winner of over 70 races! Earnhardt Jr holds a place on the NASCAR’s all-time winners list placing 39th after his 18th victory, however he has 6 non-point wins as well as 8 pole positions! Dale Earnhardt Jr made one of the biggest decisions of his NASCAR career as he signed with re-owned team owner Rick Hendrick in 2008! Throughout his career he has always been a full-time driver and was solely within the confines of the family-owned business!! Since this career change there has been a total of 9 wins, 4 in both the 2008 & 2009 season! Late in the 2009 season, the team signed Danica Patrick to a partial schedule to start the following year for the 2010 season ! JR Motorsports made headlines that month, and was also recognized as they put two of the most popular driver’s under one roof! Dale Earnhardt has had great success during his NASCAR career, and continues to extend his business savvy beyond the track! Last year in 2009 he appeared on CMA as the presenter and had over 35 million viewers! This was his first appearance since 2002 when he was on MTV at a major pop culture award show! The year before that in 2001 Earnhardt held the New York Times best-seller for 17 weeks in a row! As of July 2010 he has been featured in over 100 magazines, and appeared in some of the most popular artist music videos of today! He even held the 38th ranking for the top 100 most influential people in sports and continues to inspire people daily as he is even involved in Make-A-Wish Foundation! A big highlight during this year 2010 season was during last weekend’s event at Daytona when he won the Subway Jalapeno 250 in the Nationwide Series! He ran the track with honors holding the yellow and blue colors proudly on the No 3 Wrangler that his father made famous during his successful NASCAR career! His father was killed on the last lap at the Daytona 500 back in 2001 while Jr was still competing in the race not knowing the horrific outcome! Dale Earnhardt Jr. was very proud of his father for going to the hall of fame, and he was sure that his daddy would be proud of this win! As Jr. was very honored to get the car on the track that night to celebrate his father going to the hall of fame, he says he will never drive the No 3 again!! This car was designed and entered into the race as a part of this celebration, and he got to celebrate double time, even though it was a very emotional evening, not only for him but for him but for his family, his friends, and his fans! It was even got emotional on pit row that evening and more so for Tony Eury Jr. who was the one who crew-chiefed the car! Dale Jr says “You know we lost everything here, so to come back with that number and do this, it really means everything”!  He hopes all the fans appreciated the celebration and he states again “NO MORE 3 FOR ME”! So salute to Dale and remember this great 7 time Championship NASCAR driver as we race safely and win the rest of these event’s this year!! This NASCAR Diecast
