Ryan Newman raced these black and yellow colors proudly last weekend during Irwin Tools Event at Bristol Speedway. He ran this WIX Filters paint scheme on his No 39 Chevy Impala on August 21st in the Sprint Cup Series. He is currently holding 15th in standings with 12 races remaining for this season. This Ryan Newman WIX Filters Diecast collectable is produced by Motorsports Authentics and can be found under the action platinum series line. WIX Filters has earned their title throughout the years as they became an industrial member of NASCAR back in 1968. They are now an official NASCAR Performance Product, and has been used by more teams than any other product in history. WIX Filters has been under the hoods of these cars for more than a dozen Cup Championships at this time. Ryan currently competes full time in the Cup driving the No 39 Tornados/Haas Automation Chevy. He graduated from Purdue University in 2001 with a B.S. in vehicle structure engineering, and is the only active driver that has a college degree. When not racing around the track he enjoys driving and working on vintage cars preferably 1950′s Chrysler’s. In 2005 Newmans car was featured on the cover of EA Sports computer game NASCAR SimRacing which has became pretty famous lately. Ryan took major involvement in the development of this and was excited to be featured for the year on this car.
