Juan Montoya was born on Sept. 20th 1975. He is a Colombian race car driver for NASCAR, currently driving #42 for Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, and competing in the Sprint Cup Series. In 1998 he won the International F3000 Championship and in 1999 he won the CART Championship Series. These were two of his major wins throughout his career. Although he has had several wins, and top point standings in several events throughout his NASCAR career. Juan also had many victories in some of the most prestigious races in the world, which is a great victory to have as a NASCAR competitor. Also he is the only driver who has competed in all three major events in Indianapolis, and finished 4th or better in each one. In the Indianapolis 500 he took 1st, ranked 2nd in the Brickyard 400, and placed 4th in the US Grand Prix. Another title that he holds is the only driver to win the premier North American open-wheel CART title. This was made at the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Daytona, both on the first attempt. Then last year 2009, Times Online ranked him 30th in a list of the top 50 Formula One drivers of all time. Juan and his wife also recently added their 3rd child to the family.
