Joey Logano

 

 Joey Logano is an American race car driver who currently drives the #20 for Joe Gibbs Racing and holds the nickname as sliced bread.I know you know what we’re talking about, as in the best thing since sliced bread. He was born into a tight-knit Italian-American family where he was the oldest child. He was born in 1990 in Connecticut, and he began racing in 1996 at the age of 6yrs old. He started as a quarter midget racer, and by 1997 he had won the Jr. Stock Car Division. He also made history to become the youngest driver to win a Nationwide Series race. His first major NASCAR win came during the Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway in just his third start in the 2008 Nationwide Series. He also became the youngest winner in the Sprint Cup Series, and currently holds the title of the youngest winner in two of the three top NASCAR divisions. At the age of 10, his family was relocated in Georgia, and this is where he went on to race Legend cars. He set a 14-consecutive winning streak track record, and at age 12 he won the Southeast based Pro Legends National Championship. In 2005 he raced in 12 Southern Division races, at USA International Speedway where he won twice at South Georgia Motorsports Park. In 2007 NASCAR changed the rules allowing drivers 16 and up to race in the Grand National Division, so this made it where he could compete this season. He finished the Grand National season in 2007 with 13 starts, and winning 5 races. In early of 2008 he won the Carolina 500, and also made a debut at Talladega where he started 6th and finished 26th. In 2009 he was disqualified while trying to defend his title in the Toyota All-Star Showdown by crashing into Peyton Sellers. Later on in 2009 at the Daytona 500 he finished 4th in his duel, and he became the youngest driver to ever start, until he crashed midway through the race.
