David Ragan was born
on December 24th 1985, and graduated from Jay M. Robinson High
School in Concord North Carolina. Currently David is driving for Roush Fenway
Racing in the No 6 Ford and competing in the Sprint Cup Series for the 2010
NASCAR Season. Ragan is 1 of the handful of drivers in NASCAR that wear their
blood type on the firesuit. Ragan is blood type 0 positive which is very rare
so he wants to keep everyone updated just in case an accident! Ragan began
racing in 1997 and the following year he won twelve championships! In 1999 he
won his first National Championship, and eventually he moved to the NASCAR
Goody Dash Series! Then in 2002 he began running late models and the Legends
Pro Division while working with Cam Strader! Then by the age of 18 David made
his truck debut at Texas Motorspeedway in 2004 racing for Fiddleback Racing,
finishing twentieth! The next following years he had several wins as well as
great standings in the points! Then on October 11th 2006 Roush
Racing made him a full time driver for 2007 driving the No 6 AAA replacing Mark
Martin which was a long-time driver. Ragans first start while driving the No 6
AAA Ford was during the Daytona 500 where he finished 5th, and was
off to a good start for his 2007 Season. Also he competed in a full season in
the Busch Series finishing5th in points and was named Rookie of the Year! Then
in 2009 Ragan was expected by many to make the Chase but had struggles throughout
the season and finished a dismal 27th in points with only 2 top 10’s!
