Clint Bowyer

 

Clint Bowyer was born on May 30, 1979 in Emporia, Kansas and started his racing career in Street Stocks in1996. Within 4 years he won the Modified Championship for 2 consecutive years. By 2003 he raced a full schedule in the NASCAR Auto Zone Elite Division Midwest Series. Bowyer also began racing in the ARCA series in 2003. Clint finished eighth in the ARCA ReMAx series race at Daytona. Then Clint started
racing in the NACAR Busch racing Series in the #21 car for Richard Childress Racing in 2004. Bowyer had his first full race schedule in the Busch Series in 2005 driving the #2 AC Delco. He also made his Nextel Cup debut driving the No 33 Sylvania Car. He replaced Dave Blaney in the #07 Chevrolet in the Nextel Series. By 2007 Bowyer was able to run a partial Busch season and a partial truck schedule and finished 9th in points in the Cup series. Then in 2008 he won the Nationwide Championship and was the first year with his full schedule for this series. Clint Bowyer diecast and apparel has always been in high demand with his loyal fans wanting to collect all of the different diecast collectibles and his gear.

2010- This year Clint finds himself fighting for the Chase in the Sprint Cup Season. Greg Biffle took the win at Ponoco Raceway, leaving Clint occupying the only remaining playoff spot. This weekend 8-7-10 he races at The Glen in New York, and he says he is in a tight battle at this point. Clint did make it in the Chase, and after the Carfax 400 he currently holds 12th in standings. He is 647 points behind the leader Kevin Harvick, and just over 300 to get to second place.
