Brian Vickers
Brian Vickers was born on October 24th 1983 in Thomasville,
North Carolina. He is an American NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, and won the
Nationwide Series Champion at the young age of 20! He was the youngest champion
in any of NASCAR’s three top-tier series when he won his Championship in 2003!
He is currently employed by Team Red Bull in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and
normally races the No83 Red Bull Toyota Camry. Casey Mears was announced to be
Brians replacement on May 13th, as he will not race the remainder of
the 2010 Season due to a medical condition. Brian was currently on a
consecutive 87 starts, dating all the way back to Atlanta in 2007! Vickers had
high hopes to run a handful of laps before handing the car over however was not
medically cleared. It was recently revealed that he has blood clots in his legs
and around his lungs! Lets keep him in our thoughts as we can’t wait for him to
get back on the track! He will not race during the 2010 Season due to his continued health conditions. He was hoping to start late in the season this year, however it was just released he would not get on the track this year. He hopes to continue his racing career next year for the 2011 season!
